Inspired by the Revlon's Nearly Naked launch and Emma Stone's campaign for the collection, I decided to recreate the look and test the products she sported in the ad.
I am no make-up artist but I tried my best.
I used the Nearly Naked
foundation and
powder to even out my complexion, products I reviewed individually in previous posts. I'll say it again: I like the line, I like the formulas and the overall results.
On the eyes I used the PhotoReady Palette in Metropolitan. This palette was actually nice, and I enjoyed using it. Pigmentation was decent overall but it did vary from shade to shade. The lower left side eyeshadow is actually a shadow primer, which I absolutely love. This stuff is so nice that I wish Revlon would come up with individual pots of the stuff. It's a perfect shadow, a shadow that never creases. It's so smooth and buttery and distributes across the lid with ease. The colors make for a great sultry neutral smokey eye, great for day wear. Again, I don't like the slots hosting the shadows as it can get difficult to fit brushes in there and pick up color It's a great neutral palette that could be great for travelling or day to day use but it's not spectacular.
The other product that completed the look was the ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait. I love Lip Butters. This one in particular has tiny specks of shimmer in a neutral color base (well, neutral for my pigmented lips). It looks very natural but due to the glitter it's not the most hydrating one in the Lip Butter family. It didn't feel grainy on the lips nor did it look sparkly. The shimmer is very subtle and it adds a bit oh dimension to the lip, but I do need a balm underneath it.
I completed the look with MAC's Whisper of Gilt Highlighter, NARS Orgasm blush and Annabelle mascara.
