La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Cream Review and Swatch

You might be familiar with la Roche Posay and their famous skin care line. I am a big fan of most of their Effaclar line and use them regularly in my skincare routine, so I was excited when I was given the chance to test out their new BB Cream and see what they did with the concept.

La Roche Posay  Hydreane BB Cream moisturizes, soothes, protects and evens out sensitive skins while concealing redness, calming, comforting, and brightening complexions. The product is the first of its kind to contain thermal water.

The BB Cream is available in two shades: Light and Medium. I am a light and the colour seems to be a close match for my NC20 skin. Speaking of colour, the shade has a slight pink/neutral undertone and it actually looks very natural and flattering on the skin. The cream is very rich, making it suitable for dry skin types. At first I was nervous when I applied it, it felt so rich and I feared it might be a way too moisturizing for my combo skin. The cream turned out to be hydrating yet it lasted reasonably well through the day, it didn`t melt or break apart even in my dangerous T-zone area.
The pigmentation of the product is light to medium. I like how I can work the cream in with my fingers and manage to get a decent natural coverage. You can still see some of my imperfection,s as it lets the skin show through, but everything is blurred and a bit of concealer usually takes care of the major problems.  I found I don`t need to bother with any sort of moisturizer under this. The cream is rich enough as it is.

This is a product I like to apply when I go to the library or grocery shopping, on days when I don`t want to spend more than 5 minutes on evening out my skin tone, when I want my skin to look nice and youthful and fresh but not have that made-up look.

Overall, I enjoy this BB Cream. It`s not HG status but I can appreciate it now, during the cold weather when my skin gets all dry and needs extra moisture. The finish and coverage are light and natural, it manages to blur and cover small imperfections and it is very rich and hydrating, making it a great option for those with dry and dehydrated skin.
