Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Complexion Corrector Review

This is one of those products that my skin likes in the winter. I had gotten it last summer and it really didn't agree with my skin but once winter rolled around things changed.

Despite having combination skin with a very oily T-zone winter always takes a toll on it. Between the wind and below 0 temperatures and the dry heat inside, my skin gets all bipolar on me. It's dehydrated, I get nasty dry patches with flaky bits (nasty I know) while my T-zone gets oily and shines bright like a diamond.
It's a challenge to find a good foundation that'll cater to my needs and work for all the different territories on my face. That's when I decided to give this bad boy a try and realized what a gem it is.
The cream has more coverage than your average CC Cream. It's nourishing while providing light coverage, light enough to neutralize redness and blurr out small imperfections. I still need to use a good concealer for my under eye area, around the nose and to camouflage spots. After I am done with the correcting part I simply work a small amount of the CC Cream all over my face with my RT Buffing Brush and I am done. It's great for my work days when my make-up time is limited and I don't need to look impeccable. It lets my skin show through yet I manage to always get tons of compliments and questions on what's the secret to my nice skin (ha! if they only saw me each morning when I wake up). It never looks cakey, my T-Zone doesn't turn into a light-bulb by noon while my dry areas feel hydrated. I generally use a light moisturizer underneath, let it sink in and then use this CC Cream as the final step; it's the perfect marriage between a tint moisturizer and rich cream that acts like a barrier against the elements

Wearing nothing but the CC Cream and concealer.
