Clarins Garden Escape Palette Review and Swatches

Clarins' Garden Escape Palette is a beauty. I liked everything about the presentation of this palette, from the stury, gold packaging to the flower imprint in the eyeshadows. The shadows are all very spring: soft pinks, greens, a soft shimmer white and a mellow taupe.

The shadows all have a very soft texture, they are very finely milled and have medium pigmentation which seems intentional given that most colors are pastels. The shadows really come to life when applied wet though! That second shade, the deeper green, transforms and becomes a whole different shadow when applied with a dampened brush. I was never a huge fan of using wet shadows until I played with this palette; the formula loves water and performs so incredibly well with it. The water didn't affect the consistency or dry payoff of the shadows after drying. When applied to the lid with a brush, the formula goes on quite sheer, it blends well, I experienced little to no fading when worn with a primer.

All in all this is a great palette, the formula is a dream and the colors are so easy to wear. I love the luxurious feel and look of the packaging, it's a beauty!
