Clarins Instant Lip Comfort Oil Review

The newest lip trend in beauty right now are lip oils and Clarins has two shades out for spring. Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil features oil like hazelnut, mirabelle and jojoba and promises the offer a whole new level of hydration and comfort with no stickiness or oiliness.

The packaging looks like a tiny lip gloss with a jumbo doe foot applicator. It has a thick, unique texture, a hybrid of sorts between a lipbalm, lipgloss and oil. It goes on like and looks like a gloss, but feels like a light balm. The applicator holds enough product to cover both lips in one application, feature that I like a lot. I got this product right after a bad cold when my lips were parched and despite using every lipbalm in my rotation I got no relief. I applied one coat of this bad boy and went to sleep only to wake up the next morning to my normal soft lips. That night was all it took for me to become a convert. I love using this lip oil as a treatment overnight as much as I love sporting it on it's own during the day. It has a lovely glossy finish and it makes me lips look plump while hydrating the bejesus out of them. The thickness of the product makes it last for quite a long time on the lips and protects them without feeling tacky and I tested it through a snowstorm. Despite the wind and snow blowing, no hair got stuck to my mouth and my lips were happy and comfortable despite having billions of icy snowflakes shooting at my face.

In conclusion, I am a lip oil convert. This little bottle of golden elixir offers more protection and repairs lips better than your average lip balm, it looks like a gloss minus the stickiness and it feels amazing on the lips. We still have two months of winter left (OMG!!!!!) so make sure you go grab one before they're sold out.
Available in Honey (permanent) and Raspberry (LE). $23,00
