#ManiMonday: Revlon All or Nothing and Essence Shake Me! I'm Pretty

Happy Monday! What an oxymoron right? Well let's brighten things up with a #ManiMonday. I will try to get on this hashtag bandwagon and showcase more nail polishes on my blog.
Today's mani was inspired by the weather outside and what I hope to be the last snowstorm of this winter.
Revlon's All or Nothing is a pinky white polish with a cream formula. It goes on sheer and you need to build it up. Given that it's so milky you need to be patient and allow coats to dry between applications otherwise you can end up moving the product around and get "bald" spots in places. The formula is thick and has that gel like consistency the Gel Envy line is famous for. It's tricky to apply and if you don't have a steady hand it can get messy, it's very thick and you can't apply thin coats as it's not very opaque. It's a wonderful, subdued color and if applied right it can look downright elegant.

I decided to take it to another level and finish things off with Essence Shake Me! I'm Pretty topcoat. The polish is clear and you need to shake it to disperse the micro glitter. I found I had to shake it twice (once per hand) to make sure I get even amounts of glitter on all nails. The shimmer is very subtle it catches the light but it's not obvious and it give the nail a bit of oomph and some extra-dimension. I like it! It's very... girly!

I sealed everything in with my HG topcoat from Essie, the Good To Go topcoat. I won't rave about it again.
