My Beauty Box: Real Techniques Brushes Review Part 2: Pink Collection

As the name states, this brush is a retractable kabuki, an angled retractable kabuki. I love using this tool to buff in powder foundation and dust on powder on the go, the bristles are soft and flexible and they do a good job at depositing product withing moving the base as well as buffing powders in. The packaging is quite compact and I love playing with it to adjust the brush density, slide it up and you get a packed in brush great for buffing in powders and building coverage as well as getting a great angled brush that works great at contouring the face, slide it down and get a softer powder brush. Super handy.

This is a dense, tightly packed angled brush that works great with liquids and creams. If I'm wearing a base such a liquid foundation I need to let dry down and set it with powder before attempting to contour with a bronzer and this brush. It can move product, so make sure you are light handed when handling this bad boy. I do enjoy it when I am working with powder products as it buffs everything in nicely. This brush also doubles as a great foundation brush for those days when all my other tools are dirty.

The delicate bristles are amazing when working with water based foundations (or any other liquidy products). Like the name says it does a great job at buffing product in, both liquids and powders. It's great at building up coverage gradually and I like to work with very little product and take my time in order not to over soak the bristles which kinds defeats the whole purpose of the brush's design. This brush works great at giving you the lightweight natural finish and I love using it to correct cakey-ness when I am heavy handed with my foundation: just buff the skin with the clean brush and watch it airbrush you to perfection.
