CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara and Intensify Me! Liquid Liner Reviews

I have two new CoverGirl products to share with you today: The Super Sizer Mascara and the Intensify Me! Liquid Liner. CG is well known and loved for their Lash Blast mascaras and although I can't say I share that sentiment I am always keen on testing out their products in the hope that I will find one to finally blow me away. I always found their mascaras to be good but nothing worth of HG status.

The Super Sizer comes in a somewhat large, turqoise tube and has a unique flat brush. The bristles are short and sparse and they increase in length towards the tip. The formula is creamy, on the wet side and it has strong pigmentation. The bristles do a great job at depositing product on the lashes; it loads it on actually, and manages to brush it reasonably well giving lashes length. I would say this mascara is on trend with the new mascaras at the drugstores nowadays, think Miss Manga Rock, it can give you that exaggerated volume that can easily turn into clumpy lashes; I, personally, am a fan of the look as it can look dramatic from afar. The Super Sizer is a good choice for those of you that want to experiment with dramatic lashes but don't want to take it too far; I find you have more control over the drama than you do with Miss Manga Rock, brush it carefully and you can get a nice flare without loosing too much volume.

When I first popped the cap open off the Intensify Me! Liquid Liner I didn't know what to think of it. The paddle tip is so unique, part of me thought it was innovative while the other part kept thinking it looks gimmicky. This is one of those marker type pens, the felt tip is hard and sturdy and the formula is very pigmented and opaque. You can adjust the thickness of the lines your draw by using the switching up the sides of the tip, the flat side will yield  thick line while the thin one will give you, well, a thinner line. Pretty basic. I found the pen easy to use and never had any issues with the saturation of the tip, it's easy to draw beautiful lines, the product doesn't build up or balls on itself and it lasts well. I love how pigmented this bad boy is. I am not a fan of tip tho. I don't know about you, but I almost never go for a thick Amy Winehouse-esque line for my liner, so I always use the thin side of the tip. I don't like the rounded tip, I wish it was sharper... that's what I want in a liner, the fine sharp tip to get into the inner corner, draw thin lines with and get that perfect cat flick. I find this liner is missing the most essential part of a pen liner which is such a bummer because the delivery of the product and the formula are spot on which is why I still reach for this product a lot and use a separate fine liner brush for the detail work.
