Clarins Fall 2015 First Impressions and Swatches

Today I have a few Clarins Fall 2015 items to share with you. It wasn't easy wearing all this fall colors and vampy lips in the middle of the summer but hey, somebody's gotta do it right? Make sure you follow me on Instagram to see all these bad boys in action.

The Pretty Night Look 5 Color Eyeshadow Palette contains five buttery shades that range from nudes to a sultry olive and a smokey purple. The colors fall in the darker category and despite the fact that they pack a punch when it comes to pigmentation, they are somewhat softened by the subtle shimmer in the formula. The formula makes blending a dream and I love smoking out these colors as well as packing them on. I notices very little to no fall out with these shadows and they last very well when worn over a primer. All in all, this is a handy palette with colors perfect for fall. I also enjoy the compact packaging, it feels sturdy and travels really well.

Ombre Matte in 07 Carbon is densely packed cream -powder eye-shadow that packs a punch. This bad boy is matte and black and it's one of those staple products in a make-up kit. I love using this shadow to smoke out liners, line my eyes or lock in cream shadows. It's nothing incredibly revolutionary in the sense that it's a great, black, matte eye-shadow but it's also one of those products that made me realize how incomplete my collection was prior to aquiring it. Unsung hero material right here. Go get it now, you need it! Thank me later.

Crayon Khol in Carbon Black is long wearing khol with a small brush at the other end that can be used to smudge the liner. This is your average black khol, it's not the softest pencil to use when lining the eyes and it won't last particularly well, especially if you have oily lids like I do, but it's great for smudging or lining the waterline.

I have two shades from the Joli Rouge lipstick range. Soft Plum is a vampy plum shade that has quickly become my go to fall lipstick. It's a soft mauve that is surprisingly wearable even during the warmer months, the formula has a lovely sheen to it and manages to look soft and polished. Rosy Nude is well, a rosy nude... a medium pigmented nude that's easy to wear both in color as in formula. The lipsticks are very moisturizing as they are infused with jojoba oil; they have a glossy finish that is a refreshing change from all the matte formulas rolling out left and right. The pigmentation is medium and the formula glides on the lips leaving behind a long lasting high shine color.
Bonus points for the lovely, sturdy and luxe packaging. I love a lipstick bullet with some weight to it. All in all, these lipsticks are just fabulous, I loved everything from the formula to the packaging.
