Paula's Choice Empties and Reviews

As a blogger I get to test tons of new skincare items and I am somewhat under pressure to have great skin at all times both on and off camera. I was selected back in spring for a Paula's Choice campaign that gave me the opportunity to try out the products. I jumped on it mostly because I have heard so many good things about her line and I like the concept: simple, straight forward, active ingredients at an affordable cost. I've had more than enough of time to use the products and today I am bringing you a wrap-up review because I am not quite close to doing and empties one (the products last a looong time).

Resist Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with 10% AHA
I like to apply this liquid AHA treatment overnight at least once a week when my skin behaves or twice a week when it acts up, usually during weather changes, flights etc. My skin tends to get a little bumpy and exfoliation is the only way I can prevent clogged pores and this product does the trick in the most gentle way possible. I don't have to get carried away with physically exfoliating (and irritating ) the bejessus out of my face anymore. I was surprised at how incredibly gentle this product was on my skin, don't be afraid of the 10% glycolic acid, I wasn't even able to tell it was an exfoliant until I took a longer break from it and saw the little bumps form again. Awesome product.

Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
Because testing beauty products is a family affair in my house I enrolled my sister to help me test out these products. She's in her very early 20s and her skin can act up quite frequently so she was the perfect candidate for this product. I mention this because she insisted on me telling my readers how incredible this lotion was for her skin. It helped zap breakouts and clear any trouble zones she might have gotten during hormonal changes or high stress periods. She demanded I stock up on this for her. As for me, I turn to this product during those periods when my skin decides to act like a teenager for some reason and I get legit breakouts. I like to wear this bad boy under make-up whenever I see signs my skin might act up or when I know I will have a few crazy event-full days when I wear tons of make-up for long periods of time. This technique works like a charm to help prevent breakouts as well as clear them fast.

Resist Super Antioxidant Serum
This serum is the only product I actually finished. It was perfect for summer: light and hydrating. It's packed with awesome ingredients such as Vitamin C, peptides and ceramides, antioxidants and humectants. I like to refer to think of it as a smoothie for my skin because it kinda just slurps it up as soon as I massage it in. On days when my skin was dry I like to layer a thicker moisturizer on top of it or add a few drops of my favourite facial oil and massage it well into the skin. I already have a back-up of it. That says it all.

The Nude Mattes Eyeshadow Palette
This product completely took me by surprise. I had no idea I could fall so hard for an eyeshadow palette from a company known for its skincare. I've reviewed this palette in depth here and alotough I am far from finishing it (can you ever finish a make-up palette?) I had to mention it again because it's that good.

I will make sure to follow up with new reviews of the products as I move through them. I am currently working on testing out the Resist Retinol Moisturizer which is a lovely night cream but I want to try to use it consistenly to see noticeable results before I report back. Stay tuned!
