Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Passion and Obsession. Review and Swatches

Today I have two shades from Revlon's range of new lipsticks, Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor: Passion and Obsession.

The packaging stands out right away with it's unusual yet sleek design. The tube is oval shaped and has a frosted glass/matte finish to it. The product smells quite heavily of "whipped vanilla and mango" but the smell doesn't linger once it's on. Pigmentation is great, one single swipe delivers a rich, opaque swatch of color. The formula feels light and comfortable on the lips. I wouldn't call it hydrating but it definitely feels nice. So far I like everything about these lipsticks, I enjoyed both colors, Passion being a rich red and Obsession a bright, lively pink. My main issue with this formula is the finish of the lipstick which is supposed to be matte. Both colors had a glossy finish to them. There is nothing matte about these lip products, well... maybe the packaging. The formula itself is as glossy as it gets and it definitely does not live up to the matte claim, the main claim of these products in particular.
I absolutely loved the formula and both are gorgeous lip products... but Revlon needs to change their names because there is nothing matte about these bad boys. If you like glossy, richly colored lips definitely check these out. If are looking for a matte product these are NOT it.
