Have you heard? Baking soda is the new charcoal! I got the chance to test the new Bioré Baking Soda cleansing system and as an exfoliating fanatic I jumped on it right away. There are two products in the range: the Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and the Baking Soda Pore Cleanser.
The scrub comes in a dry a form, which is a little bit unusual but oh so innovative if you ask me. The powder is meant to be used with water which activates it and promises to remove dirt and oil while exfoliating flaky skin. The powder is indeed very effective and buffing deal skin cells, leaving me with wonderful smooth skin. I like to use the products on its own or mixed in with the cleanser when I need a little exfoliating power at the end of the day when removing my makeup. This stuff is really incredible and I didn't find it threw my skin off at all as it has happened in the past when I tried regular baking soda on its own.
The cleanser is a little more traditional in the sense that you can use to wash your face while packing a gentle exfoliating punch. The baking soda is the key ingredient which again, promises to help remove impurities and gently buff skin. I enjoy using this cleanser, it does a great job at cleansing the skin and removing dirt, makeup traces and make-up remover. My skin is happy with it, after using it feels clean and soft and I don't find it drying which is a huge bonus.
All in all this range is pretty neat and that scrub is pretty awesome. Check them out.
