Clarins Spring 2016 Collection. Review and Swatches

Today I have the new Clarins Spring Collection to share with you. I have been playing with all the items for the past few weeks and put them to the test like the good beauty blogger that I am.

The 5 Color Eye Palette features five shades of neutrals most of which are shimmery and a matte beige. The colors are soft and somewhat perfect for spring. The pigmentation is medium, the shades are blendable and easy to work with, great for achieving a soft, no fuss look. The darker shades are more rich in pigment while the first shade to the left is heavy on the glitter. I love the packaging for this palette, which is similar to last fall`s palette. It`s compact, features a great mirror, it`s sturdy and very travel friendly.

The Multi Blush Cream Compact is a cream to powder blush that comes in a gorgeous compact. The formula is light and creamy and it goes on like a dream. Once applied to the face it turns into a lightweight powder and manages to add color while still letting the skin underneath show through giving the cheek a natural looking flush. While it might not be very pigmented it builds beautifully. I have the shade Rose and it`s a warm pink that looks incredibly natural and fresh.

Rouge Eclat is one of my all time favourite formulas of lipstick and the two shades featured with this collection couldn`t be more appropriate for spring. The formula on these lipsticks in rich and creamy, it`s hydrating and glossy and such a delight to wear. 25 Pink Blossom is a soft pink and 23 Hot Rose is a soft coral. The lipsticks are not particularly long wearing but they are so easy to wear and look so darn lovely on the lips.

Two products that completely blew me away in this release were the Shimmery Eye Shadows. Clarins describes them as the new generation for eye shadows and I have to agree. The formula on these shadows is bomb! While almost creamy to the touch it does on like a powder; both shades I have pack a punch and deliver crazy pigmentation, the formula build incredibly well without ever looking heavy, it blends like a dream and wears phenomenally well. I can`t get enough of these shadows, Clarins totally nailed the formulas on these bad boys and I wish they are planning to expand the range. 04 Silver Ivory is a stunning silvery taupe and 07 Silver Plum is a shimmery plum.

Overall this collection was pretty much a hit. I liked all the products and I was particularly impressed with the Shimmery Eye Shadows. The lipsticks are creamy and easy to wear and both shades are a must for spring and the blush is so delicate and natural looking and makes it so easy to achieve that natural flushed look. The palette is sturdy and travel friendly and I love the range of colors, the pigmentation and formula are the best I`ve seen in a Clarins palette so far.
