This past month Chic Marie, a local Montreal based clothing rental company, contacted me to try out their services and I happily said yes. Basically, for a monthly fee of $55 you can select up to 9 different pieces of clothing from their fantastic selection, wear them and keep the ones you like for purchase. When you are done wearing the pieces you just return them to their warehouse and get new stuff. The delivery, return and cleaning are all on the company.
Chic Marie features an array of stunning pieces and it's the perfect opportunity to dress up without breaking the bank. Personally, as a blogger I am lucky to attend tons of events but sometimes I find it challenging trying to keep up with the outfits, I don't have the time or resources to keep going shopping for items I might wear a few times only, which is why this service seemed to be such a cool concept to me. I also love the fact that they have amazing, designer, good quality pieces. I am a firm believer that less is more when it comes to clothing and I personally like to buy less quantity and more quality items, invest in key pieces that just look and feel so much better than the fast/cheap fashion items. Chic Marie bridges the gap in the sense that you can still have access to quality pieces without making a huge commitment. That's unless you fall head over heels with something and decided to buy it for yourself.
Check out the three pieces I've been loving this past month while I go check out their new collection.
