Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam. Review and Swatches

Every year for my birthday I treat myself to a new highlighter. It's a tradition. This year, with strobing being so on trend the selection of amazing highlighters was pretty overwhelming so it wasn't easy to chose just one which is why I settled for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam which features not one but four stunning shimmery shades.

Hard Candy is a golden peach with a pink pearl reflective finish. The shade has decent pigmentation and the formula is smooth and buttery but stiff enough so that it doesn't go on too heavy, you can built it up slowly and it sits beautifully on the skin. The pearl finish is somewhat soft and imparts luminosity to the cheek making this a great blush topper.
Mimosa is a radiant golden peach with a metallic finish. The shade is nicely pigmented has a gorgeous metallic finish that looks absolutely stunning on sun kissed skin or mixed with the other shades. The champagne color is a little warm and gives the skin a diffused glow and makes for a great eye shadow.
Crushed Pearl is a glimmering pink and silver with a crystallized chrome finish. This frosty cool toned pink is my favourite at the moment when I am at my palest (Canadian winters!). The formula is smooth and pigmented and goes on like a dream. This highlighter stands out and can be built to look downright intense which I happen to love and makes me want to bathe in this stuff.
Starburst is a cool pink with a iridescent finish. The formula is incredibly finely milled and the pigment is a gorgeous, soft, luminous pink with and iridescent finish that captures light so beautifully. I like using this shade on its own as well as mixed with the other both as a blush topper as well as a highlighter.

L-R: Hard Candy, Mimosa, Crushed Pearl, Starburst

The formulas on all shades are great. Smooth, buttery and pigmented. I like how the formula has a little stiffness to it, they aren't powdery or too pigmented (think Becca highlighters). I find this formula not only applies nicely and can be built to whatever level of intensity you feel comfortable with but all shadows can be used as eyeshadows and wear great even on oily lids like mine.
All four shades are stunning and I appreciate the nice variety of colors and undertones which makes this palette such a good value. You can use it all year round! I love mixing and matching all the shades for different looks and I absolutely love how spot on the formulas are and how nicely they sit on the skin. Last but not least I have to mention the light, compact packaging. I love the sturdy cardboard, it's light, compact and shock absorbing and this bad boy is coming with me on my vacation.

Here are the highlighters in action, these are a few looks I sported this past two weeks and all I used to highlight my face was this palette.
