Lancome Juicy Shakers and Cushion Blush Subtil Review and Swatches

Lancome recently launched the Juicy Shakers, a much anticipated pigment infused bi-phase lip oil. The packaging is eye catching, the lip oils look just like mini shakers and kinda work like one, you need to shake the product to help disperse the pigment into the oil prior to application. The formula is incredibly light and feels the same once applied; it adds just the right amount of hydration while depositing a soft touch of color and shine. The cushion applicator is soft and fun to play with and I like using to apply a thin layer or product or just dab it on to help deposit more pigment. I found the formula to not be particularly long wearing, it's hydrating but light, the lip oil sits on top of the lips softening them and adding shine giving them a glossy look. I feel the Juicy Shakers are a perfect hybrid between a gloss and a balm and that makes them so fun to wear. Another fun feature of the products is that all Juicy Shakers have a mouth watering scent that matches their names. The two colors I have are Wondermelon, a rosy shade, and Freedom of Peach, a glossy soft peach.

Another product Lancome launched is the new Cushion Blush Subtil, a cushion blush that promises vibrant color with a lightweight feel. The blush comes in a handy portable cushion compact and comes with a sponge applicator. The liquid formula is dispersed through the cushion and is has a soft pigment that is easy to blend and has a very natural finish. I like applying this blush with a stippling brush as it allows me to deposit it better and blend it out better than the puff. The color is buildable and has a very natural look, wearing nicely through the day. The lightness of the blush is what makes it unique and easy to wear, it looks like skin and applied with a brush it doesn't disturb products underneath it, the formula however, can be tricky to work with and requires patience, you will need to build the color and blend it out but the end result is well worth the effort. The shade I'm wearing is 031 Splash Orange, a soft muted coral with orange undertones.
