Lise Watier Chic & Rustique Palette. Review and Swatches

Boy do I have a surprise for you! Last week I attended a Lise Watier event and got a sneak peek at the new Fall 2016 Chic & Rustique collection. The line-up features a few launches that made my heart skip a beat but the star of the collection for me was the Chic & Rustique Palette.
The package is a sturdy rose gold plastic with a pretty cool design on top. The palette opens to reveal a full size mirror that can stand up on its own which is incredibly handy for when you're on the go or travelling. There are 6 shades in the palette, all on the warm side but with a variety of finishes. Starting from the left we have a matte nude color that's nicely pigmented, followed by a buttery gold shade that's richly pigmented. The third shade is a matte rusty brick that packs a punch, this shade is bold and beautiful. The fourth shade is a shimmery olive that's quite pigmented, soft and buttery. The second to last shade is a shimmery taupe that feels stiff in the pan and has pretty bad pigmentation. The last shade in the palette is matte brown with great color pay off.
All shades can be used dry or wet, altough pretty much all of the shades are incredibly pigmented I find these colors pop when used wet. The matte shades are rich and lovely to work with, the shades are all stunning and perform amazingly; the shimmery shades with the exception of that second last one are rich and creamy and apply and blend like a dream.
All in all, this palette is a bang on and the shades are exceptional. That rusty brick shade is so absolutely beautiful that it makes this palette worth buying just for it. To see the shades in action check out two quick looks I came up with below, one is a more traditional cut crease while the other one is a rusty smokey eye where I used the shadows wet to add a little more depth and intensity. Ah, I simply can't stop playing with this palette.
