Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara Review

This mascara stood out to me primarily because I can't help being a girly girl at times and go crazy for anything pink. The Full Lash Bloom is the newest addition to the Lashblast mascara series from Covergirl as you can tell from the packaging. The brush is described as "petal shaped" and the mousse formula with natural beeswax is supposed to help keep your lashes voluminous and soft to the touch.

The brush is somewhat unique and different from the other LashBlast mascaras, it has long, separated and stiff bristles as opposed to the fat short bristled wands I am used to from the line. This mascara is great at giving length, the bristles really help get to the root of the lash and coat each one all the way to the tip. Application was mess free and I love using this mascara for those days when I wear no eye makeup and just want my lashes to be nicely flared out. The formula builds nicely, especially if you move fast; after the second coat I can notice my lashes getting more volume and the brush does a great job at combing and separating them nicely. I never experienced clumping or flaking with this mascara and the formula does stay soft and supple through the day. The downside is that it doesn't do the best job at holding a curl and I do find the stiff bristles not the most comfortable when it comes to application.

Overall, I don't hate nor do I love this mascara. It doesn't give me the drama I usually go for with eyelashes but it's become my go to product for simple makeup days. It's a great option for short lashes that need length and a great mascara for those that, like me, end up with mascara smudges all over the eyelid during application.

Maybeline Volum' Express One by One Mascara Review

This mascara promises bold, voluminous lashes without the bulk. The "lash catcher" brush, is supposed to help flare lashes and build volume, without any clumps.
The brush is interesting, having a lot of sturdy, yet soft bristles that help you catch and coat even the tiniest lashes. It deposits a bit of product with each coat, making them look natural. The texture is wet and very buildable. It doesn't dry fast allowing you to reapply and brush through the lashes with ease. Due to the nature of the brush it's relatively easy to grab even the tiniest hairs and you can wiggle and flare the lashes out beautifully, without clumping. I found that this mascara helped me get volume and length as it doesn't deposit too much product and it allows me to comb them until I reach a desired result, without getting those dreadful spider lashes. The only downside to this natural looking mascara is that it takes a lot of work to get that wow effect. I found it very hard to get a bold looking lash, despite my efforts to reapply the product. It's like the brush does too good of a job. :)
It lasts well through the day but I do get flakes and marks on my eyebrow bone, which makes me think twice when reaching for this product.

Overall a very good mascara. It's great for achieving that natural, flared lash effect. Don't expect crazy volume and be prepared to deal with flakies through the day.

*Tip* Natural Remedy for thicker, longer, stronger lashes

I have used this for many years with great results!
Just rub in some castor oil at night, all over my lashes (and eyebrows), use a clean mascara wand to brush and coat the lashes in the oil. After doing this for a few weeks you will see tremendous improvements.
Get castor oil at any local health food store. I use Palma Cristi, it`s so affordable and aside from beautyfing my eyelashes with it, castor oil its a great beauty remedy, one of the best oil to be used in hair masks.
