Both these products fall in the category "Youtube made me do it!". I used to use Physicians Formula as a teen and then I sort of drifted away from them as I got drawn into the world of beauty, blogging and the growing array of make-up brands. I fully blame Tati from GlamLifeGuru for bring the brand back into the spotlight and convincing me to give this Mascara a shot. She mentions it so often that I simply had to go and see what the fuss is all about. I saw the eyeliner mentioned on various blogs and has a stellar rating on MakeUp Alley, so again... had to try it.
At first I didn't like it. At all. This mascara reminded me of most natural mascaras, having a cream formula, which I was never fond of. I sort of put it aside after trying to use it for a few times and only decided to give it a go after a while, once the formula got drier and success! The beauty of the creamy texture is that is soft and it build nicely with virtually no flaking and clumping. You can get natural looking lashes in the first go and if you want more drama go for seconds or thirds. The cream dries a little bit and settles once applied and which makes the second coat adhere nicely, but due to the fact that it remains soft you can wiggle your way through any clumps and it almost never flakes. The brush is perfect, a fat, short, stocky brush with stiff bristles that brush through the lashes and deposit enough products to build volume and decent length in one go. My lashes feel soft and flexible through the day and I kind of enjoy that.
It removes easily and I suspect is has nourishing properties as my lashes look and feel so much better than when wearing "regular" mascara. The ingredients look awesome.
This eyeliner is the bomb! I love love love the tiny brush it has and how easy it makes eyeliner application. You can draw precise lines with it, get into and corner and crevice, thightline, you name it! It has a somewhat rich color payoff, but the brush can get messy from eyeshadow and interfere with the way color gets deposited, so I would recommend cleaning it regularly (just wipe it on a tissue). The formula is incredibly long wearing and it has a somewhat glossy finish which I happen to love for those simple statement-making cat eyes. This eyeliner has quickly achieved Holy Grail status for me. I've repurchased and will continue to do so until the end of time. So easy to use (great for beginners), it looks great, lasts all day and I simply love it! As far as the "Lash Boost Complex" that claims to "nourish and condition" lashes, well, I haven't seen any difference. My lashes look better, but then again I started using a castor+coconut oil mix on my lashes at night, which always helped me before.
